{inspiration: oh life}

holy snaps!
ive been procrastinating
with my blog.
the holiday spirit of doing nothing
got my priority.
otherwise, i got it backward
from everybody else.
and just a lot of spending time
with my little princess.
she seems more grown up all of a sudden
right after she turned one.
much to update. 'nough said...

family pics:
xuo took our family pics this year.
it turned out very well considering
a not so good location that i picked.
i guess timing and the weather
were working against us.
better luck next year with yellow leaves
background that i dream of.
here's some pics for memories.

first onsite immigration translating opportunity:
she got her citizenship
i guess was all that matters.
ive never seen any one person
so excited to be an american citizen
(well, my mom did threw a party and invited
all my cousins, relatives, and their moms).
i have to say she's a super adorable
60 year old lady.
i would do this again in a heart even though
it was long and exhausting--mentally.

christmas party at the lewis':
the party was fun and the food never failed.
great families and great companies.
sorry no pics to show.
but here's the white elephant i won
from playing the white elephant game.
someone's got the humor or just super smart.
i love my white elephant.

mae's first birthday:
a too small of a space
in our apartment for over 20 people,
but it worked out fine.
mae got tons of toys, one too many dresses,
and shoes two-three sizes too big.
overall, fantastic food
(thanks to all who brought food and drinks to share).
i'm sure mae won't rememb
even one bit of this celebration,
but one day she'll look at pictures
and hear her mom and dad tell stories
about her first birthday and people that came,
it will bring a smile to her face.

mae with her grandma LIZ.

 cousin BEN & MAY.

LUNA, you make me laugh.
so cute, i love this pic!

the parkham girls and gma enjoying
the day together at mae's partay.

she didn't know what to make of it...
this strange, dark looking thing in front of me.

she strongly dislike sugar free cupcakes.
see pic below-she almost couldn't take it anymore!
'no! i don't care what you say mom!
i want sugar! **stick tongue out**'

oh dada! i love you!
thanks for buying me cake!

who says chocolate doesn't make you happy.

uh mae- i don't think so!

mae with her aunty XUO.
trying out her new boots.

pink boots from Christy
aka
uncle Lo's girlfriend.

andrew's graduation:
andrew finally graduated
from berkeley after a century. lol.
so happy for him and ansally as they both
 starting a family together.
wishing them nothing but the best!

and now...
anxiously waiting for Christmas morning.
mostly, i'm excited to open mae's presents...
i mean help her open her presents.

sweet november birthday shout outs:
KAO:
we had a get together at our place.
xuo and mai brought yummy foods.
any get together is a good get together
when the family is together
(dare you to come up with a sentence
that use any one word three times. lol)
it's that silent bonding spirit of the siblings...
even if it's just seeing each other's faces.
happy birthday little big brother.

GIN:
Oh, good old GIN.
another november birth.
she's getting up there, too.
happy birthday sweet friend!
