Two nights ago we tried to put Mae in her own room to see if she would go to sleep on her own without Brandon and I nearby. DID NOT WORK AT ALL!!! well, it worked for 5 minutes and we thought...we can get used to this. all of a sudden we heard a screaming cry. we thought, "she'll be okay...just wait FIVE more minutes"...30 seconds later we had to go get her because she cried so loud that she started choking. that poor angel was all sweaty when Brandon finally went to pick her up from her bassinet. so heartbreaking to see her sad. the next morning/day, i thought i better get her used to seeing her room. we hung out in there most of the time. she took two naps in there later that day, which was a surprise! so last night, we thought we oughta try it again. i put her to bed at 10pm and she didn't make a sound. we were waiting for that wailing and screaming...but it was all silent. At about 11pm, she began to fuss a little bit. It wasn't a big deal because her soothie fell out of her mouth. She slept until 5:30am this morning. we're soooo proud of her. we just hope she keeps it up!
